Make Your Own Drawer Boxes | |||
| Are you fed up with that broken cutlery drawer or generally with drawers which do not work very well? Or maybe you would like to give your kitchen an uplift by changing the doors and drawer fronts but are not sure how easy it is to fit the new drawer fronts to your old drawer boxes? | |||
| Don't worry we can easily solve all of those problems. For very modest cost YOU can make your own, robust, beautifully smooth-sliding drawer boxes, to suit any cabinet width. It really is not difficult, we will provide simple, step by step, guidance notes to enable you to produce a really professional job. | |||
| Made from cream finished steel sides the boxes have matching steel runners which are screwed to the cabinet sides. The base and back are made from melamine faced chipboard (MFC) 15mm or 18mm thick which produce an amazingly strong drawer box, essential to carry the weight of cutlery, pots and pans etc which are commonly found in most kitchens. | The drawer box sides are available in a number of heights and lengths and the finished drawer box can be tailored to fit any practical cabinet width by cutting the base and back material to suit. We can supply every item you will need to make up your boxes, alternatively as MFC is heavy and expensive to transport you can save further cost by sourcing suitable MFC sheet material locally and cut it to size yourself (we will advise the sizes you need). Most of the large DIY outlets sell 15mm thick 'Conti' board, or equivalent, which is ideal for the purpose. |
