From our viewpoint delivery charges are a necessary evil. We supply customers throughout UK mainland, using a well known national carrier service who base their charges on weight, irrespective of destination (with the exception of a few Scottish Highland postcodes where a premium applies). Our costing process incorporates a calculation of the weight of the consignment for which we are quoting therefore we apply the carriers charges directly, without any additional 'mark up'. Customers who receive automatic on line quotations should be aware that if the delivery destinations are outside of the areas described above then additional delivery charges will apply.

Wherever possible, for destinations within about 100 miles of our premises, we use a dedicated delivery service which can be more flexible in terms of when during the day the delivery is made, but these charges are based on distance rather than weight.
