| Below are some of the most commonly asked customers' questions and we are confident you will find the answer you are looking for on this page. However, if for any reason your question is not listed, please don't hesitate to call us during office hours on 0845 8381497 (calls charged at LOCAL RATES). Q. Why are your doors so competitively priced, are they inferior quality? A. Our Supply Only/DIY prices reflect the fact that our staff input before an order is placed is minimal. We do not have to sell our doors, at these prices they sell themselves. You, the customer (with our telephone help if required) provide all of the measurements necessary to quote and then produce the product. We emphatically DO NOT compromise on quality, our doors are purpose designed and manufactured as kitchen doors and are indisputably fit for purpose. Q. What materials do you use to make your doors? A. We have a huge selection of Door types, based on twelve different Ranges. The lowest cost are Laminate doors made from Chipboard. Nine of the twelve Ranges are made from MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) and two of the Ranges are made from Real Wood. Q. Which doors are the most durable? A. All of our doors are purpose made for the fairly aggressive environment found in a kitchen, as long as common sense care is taken none are more suitable than the others. Q. Can you send me a brochure? A. We do not publish a printed brochure, all of our doors may be viewed at our On Line Catalogue. Q. What colours are your doors? A. Each door Range has it's own set of styles and colours, each style within the Range are available in all of the colours for that Range. Q. Do you sell handles? A. Yes, we have a wide selection of knobs and handles Q. What is the smallest size door/drawer front you can make? A. The smallest made to measure door/drawer front is 100mm x 100mm. Q. What is the largest size door/drawer front you can make? A. The largest made to measure Laminate door/drawer front is 2400mm x 1200mm. A good practical limit for most other Ranges is 2400mm x 700mm. Q. Can you supply glass doors? A. Many of our door ranges can be supplied pre glazed, some others we supply as rebated open frames for you to glaze. Q. Can you supply doors of any size? A. Yes, we have a complete Made to Measure service within the size limits advised above. It should be noted that as with all manufactured items it is not economically feasible (or necessary) to make doors to precisely the nominal size. Reasonable manufacturing tolerances therefore allow for a spread of about 2mm on height and width and 1mm on thickness. Q. What direction does the wood grain go on the doors & drawers? A. Normally the convention is for the grain to go with the longest dimension ie vertically on doors and horizontally on drawer fronts. This may be altered on request. Q. I have received your quotation for supplying the doors I chose but would like to see a sample? A. We have sample doors available for immediate despatch in every style we offer (but not every colour). We send these against a refundable deposit of £25 (refunded in full on return of the door). If you only want to check the colour we can send, free of charge, small colour samples on request. Q. How long will it take for my order to be delivered? A. This depends on the Range of door selected but usually within 2-5 weeks of agreeing the specification. Q. How are deliveries made? A. Dependent on location and size of order either by our own vehicle or on a Next Day service by a National carrier. Q. Are deliveries free? A. Our itemised quotations include the cost of delivery. Q. How can I be sure that my order is correct? A. We have a detailed Measuring Guide and a proven procedure aimed at eliminating errors. Before your order is processed we transfer all of the information that you have provided to our Specification sheet, we post this back for you to finally check all details before we commence. This document is then the master copy and is used for manufacturing the order. Q. When and how do I pay? A. All orders up to £250 gross value are paid in full at the time of ordering. Above £250 gross value we take a 50% deposit when you place the order and the balance the day before delivery or on delivery if we use our own vehicle. The preferred payment method is by debit/credit card by telephone. Q. Do your doors come pre drilled for hinges? A. We supply doors drilled or undrilled. To make the fitting process as easy as possible it is best to have the doors drilled in the same positions as those on the doors you are replacing. Please see our Measuring Guide for detailed information on measuring hinge positions. Q. Do the doors come supplied with hinges included? A. Not as standard but we can supply high quality 'Clip On' hinges at very competitive rates. Q. Do you drill the doors for handles? A. No, the positioning of the knob or handle is very much to personal preference. It is best to hang the doors and then offer the knob/handle up to decide on the best position. Q. What should I do if my doors are delivered and there is a problem with the order? A. In the unlikely event that this should happen, you should contact us at your earliest convenience preferrably by Email. If possible include a photograph which helps to illustrate the problem We will endeavour to resolve the issue at the very earliest opportunity. Q. Can I return the goods if I am not satisfied for any reason? A. Goods may be returned in accordance with our terms & conditions policy. You have the same rights when ordering from us as you would when purchasing from a high street store.
